You slip them on just about every day. You have for years. Do you know where the blue jean comes from, though? Those pants you enjoy wearing and that come in so many styles, colors and patterns, have a long history of providing function, durability and style to people.

Learning the Jeans’ History

You will find it in everything from baby costumes to dresses. Jean material is something that started long ago, when a man named Levi Strauss first arrived in San Francisco in 1860.

The jeans’ invention stems from necessity. Strauss noticed the need that gold miners had as they worked out in the mines and fields for durable trousers. After selling canvas products, he later created pants using a product called denim. This added more comfort to the pants.

The first denim material, though, was not from Strauss. Rather, manufacturers began creating denim in Genoa, Italy.

Adding copper rivets happened to the jean pants in 1893. The addition helped to create more strength in the stress points of the pants. Work tools of those who wore these pants pulled at these locations as they hung on pockets and belt loops.

The name “jeans” hit in the 1920′s. It stems from the French Revolutionary period when the term “jeans,” which sounds like “johns” in French, then applied to the heavy cotton fabric created in Italy.

It would be some time before the material became more commonplace in American society. With the advent of fashion designers, though, the creation of this material was more for fashion than for functional use by the middle of the 1960′s.

Jeans; talk about a rag to riches story. Once upon a time, denim trousers were favored by sailors from Genoa, who knew no other piece of apparel could stand months of deck swabbing and seawater. Eventually jeans made it stateside, where they were worn by laborers and prisoners, a duo of workhands who could wear through chinos faster than you can say “zip your fly”. At some point during their life, jeans got a whiff of new life when rebellious teens took a fancy to them. The rest, as they say, is history.

Not Cinderella’s Jeans

Remember Jordache? They paved the way for today’s $400 True Religions when they began selling cool jeans just for women. Women do love fashion, and as denim became more sophisticated, so did the offerings. Jeans weren’t casual standards anymore; they became tailored bottoms, suitable for work and date nights. The biggest names in denim today have only been around for about a decade, but they satiated the human desire for haute denim. Perhaps you recognize some of these jean big-wigs?

True Religion

Seven for all Mankind

Rock & Republic

Chip and Pepper

Citizens of Humanity

William Rast

Diesel

New Kids on the Rack

The designer denim option isn’t as narrow as it used to be; there are many more jeans companies than the well-loved names above with pant offerings in the $100 to $500 range. From high quality Japanese denim, edgy stitching, pocket fleur-de-lis, rips, paint splatters, or utterly chic tailoring, designer jeans have come a long way from their high-seas basic. Pair some flares with a navy striped top for a tribute to your beloved Sevens.

Jeans originated as something that one would work in, not as a fashion trend. But over time, the concept and fashion trend of denim jeans has marked the world and has not stopped ever since. Denim jeans remain a fashion statement piece as well as a way to both dress down fashionably. Denim jeans can be worn in a variety of settings, and, with the proper accessories, they can be worn on classy occasions as well as casual.

The idea of creating work pants from denim material had been around since the 1600s; however, it was Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis who came up with the idea of reinforcing pockets, the bottoms of the fly, and other areas of denim pants with rivets. These were a far cry from Apple Bottoms jeans you can buy at he mall, but it was the beginning of the blue jeans we know today.

Now, Where Are They Going? That’s anybody’s guess. They have certainly evolved over the years, from being something you only wore around the house to becoming accepted everywhere, even in the workplace or in places of worship!

Jeans started out very basic straight legged, with pockets and belt loops, and not much else. However, as they became more popular, the styles changed. You had the bell-bottoms of the 60s and 70s (which are making a comeback), the acid-washed jeans of the 80s, and other styles.

Today, jeans still come in a wide variety of styles, with shades ranging from darkest indigo to faded blue. This means you can find jeans that fit you the best and you will enjoy wearing.

Ok, ok you cannot wear jeans for any occasion but you can wear jeans for most occasions. As jeans are usually a staple in every woman’s wardrobe it is important to get the most from them. It is also important that you know when and where you can wear certain types of denim to look as stylish as possible.

With the craze of the skinny jean, chances are you have a pair in your closet. Skinny jeans are a great item to have in wardrobe because they can be worn to many different types of functions. Skinny jeans with a flowy top and flats is a great out fit to wear to lunch with girlfriends or while you are out shopping. To dress up the outfit and make it more appropriate for evening wear a silky top with a graphic detail or a metallic design. Ankle boots and chunky jewelry will help to add to the evening, dressy feel.

Dark wash denim will not only make you look taller and thinner but they will also dress up any normal outfit. Dark wash denim has even become appropriate for the work environment. While not all employers will appreciate denim in the office, if your work place is a little more laid back and fashion forward then dark wash denim can be worn. To dress up dark wash denim pair the jeans with a blazer and heels. When you are wearing denim in the office make sure to pair the denim with structured blouse which will help to make the look more professional.

Vintage clothing is a hot trend. Vintage fashion takes styles from past decades and combines them to create fresh and new looks. Bell bottom jeans which had their reign in both the 70s and the 90s are back again. Paired with a buttoned blouse, stylish boots and a chain necklace, bell bottoms are great to wear for a night out on the town.

Rompers, one piece shorts body suits for women, are a classic piece dating back to the 1950s. Rompers were out of style for many decades but are back again. Rompers are most often made of denim or terry cloth, and they look great paired with chunky sandals, wedge shoes, and lots of jewelry.

Vintage jeans are popular for both men and women. Jean designers are putting out all sorts of looks mimicking jeans from the 70s and 80s. Some of these jeans have a naturally faded look and old-school stitching. The jeans can be paired with a t-shirt for a full on vintage look or with a modern top for a more trendy outfit.

Over-sized blazers worn in the late 80s and early 90s by women are on the hot list again. These big blazers should be worn with a tight top underneath as well as form fitting jeans so women do not look like they are drowning in fabric.

Fashion lovers will also find more shoes and pants containing zippers. This 1980s look is taking the fashion industry by storm. Whatever vintage piece you decide to buy, you’ll be able to find great deals online, including through sites like Offers.com.

When the world thinks of American fashion, there is always one particular item that comes to mind: blue jeans. Born out of the exodus to the western part of the country, denim has become integral to the American persona. They have evolved in innumerable ways and are currently a staple of everyday life in many countries around the world. In the United States today it is often acceptable to wear jeans everywhere—from a local baseball game to a formal event. They are durable, stylish, and irreplaceable.
During the California Gold Rush in the mid-nineteenth century, Levi Strauss began manufacturing a unique type of work pant made from cotton twill, known as denim. Strauss included metal press studs, made from copper, on these denim pants in areas that experienced the most deterioration. This prevented them from ripping and therefore made them last longer. It wasn’t long before gold miners seized on this innovative garment, and it became widely available.
Blue jeans gained even more popularity during World War II. It was common for men to wear jeans as a main clothing item, but women still tended to wear dresses, skirts, and slacks. However, the war changed this—women working in factories popularized denim for the female sex and made it more acceptable. The teenage rebellion of the 1950s turned to jeans and leather jackets as a form of self-expression, and in the 1960s jeans became more tailored to fashion with new styles, such as the bell-bottom. Jeans continue to evolve today and are available in a multitude of styles to fit every American’s shape, taste, and budget.

In 2008, fashion bloggers posted that skinny jeans were out and gratefully posting pictures of wide-legged jeans. The flair leg is definitely more attractive on most figures, but the predictions were wrong. Rather than reject skinny jeans, the fashion industry has embraced them to the extreme—introducing jeggings. Jeggings—that cross between leggings and jeans—are not attractive on most people. If you are Barbie—long, skinny legs—or under the age of 12, they might look good on you.

If you want to wear jeggings, make sure they fit right. They should be just long enough to reach the ankle without bunching up around your foot. They look best with a long, slightly loose shirt—a tunic or sweater that comes to the hips, and low heels. If you wear them with a short, tight shirt and totally flat shoes, you will just look like you are on the way to a dance class in your leotard.

Make sure they are thick enough to cover your underwear. Show off your shape, but leave whatever is under it to the imagination. Panty lines are unattractive! Regardless of the recent tendency to let it all hang out, underwear should really be “under there.” Ask any ten guys if they like to see bra straps showing, and you will find that most prefer them hidden. They favor a little mystique in their women. Women should look good without letting the world see how it is achieved.

Jeggings are nice for winter, because they can be worn with long-sleeve shirts and still look good. Then again, why not just wear long underwear? Because jeggings are more attractive, that’s why! Next time you are out shopping, why not try on a pair and see how they look? You just might like them!

Many people know the story of Levi Strauss—or so they think, but did you ever wonder where the terms denim and jeans come from?

Levi Strauss—originally Leob Strauss—took an already existing fabric and used it to create clothing for the gold miner. Denim had already become common in the 1700s, used to clothe slaves, traders, and farmers because it was a strong, durable material. It was often blue because indigo was one of the more plentiful natural dyes.

During the California gold rush, miners wanted durable clothing that would hold up to the rigors of digging in the earth and wading in streams. They did not have their wives or local seamstresses around to fulfill that need. Strauss saw the need and started providing denim pants at wholesale to outfitters.

The rivet, which is so famous for its first use on Levis, was not invented by Levi Strauss. It was invented by a man named Jacob Davis, who saw that a big problem with working men’s pants was that the pockets tore away from the fabric. He did not have the money to patent his idea, so he sold the idea to Strauss. Thus Levis became the first jeans with rivets, a staple for working men and cowboys from 1872.

Denim supposedly comes from a type of serge cloth sewn in Nimes, France. Thus the term, ‘de Nimes became denim in English. The word jeans comes from Genoa, Italy. Genes, or jeans, were cotton clothing worn by sailors. As you don your latest stylish jeans, think of wearing the pants made from the sail of a ship. They have come a long way in style since then.

Little girls look adorable in their sun suits and rompers! A romper is basically a one-piece garment consisting of shorts and tops sewn together, often with an elasticized waist and strapless or narrow strapped top. Most of them are fairly loose, which they have to be if you are going to pull the whole thing up over your hips and bust to get it on. They are similar to the gym suits of the 70’s–and like the gym suits of the 70’s they are ugly on women!

Little girls are delightful in their little gathered outfits. Ruffles and ties, cotton fabrics and flowers—they are darling if you are under five years old. Beyond that, they just look silly. Grow up, ladies, and wear real clothes.

Some rompers are knit, with halter style necklines and sleek fabrics, but they still don’t get beyond the basic design flaws of a one-piece garment. Even the skinniest models look baggy and saggy in them. Add a woman with a bit of belly and the romper design accentuates it. Waistline? Hidden by the rompers elastic waist and extra fabric. Legs? If you have them no one will notice because they will be so distracted by the ugliness of the design.

Forget rompers, and get yourself a cute pair of shorts and a matching top. They will fit better and flatter your figure—any figure. If you want the midriff covered, which rompers do very well, then wear a bodysuit under your shorts so it doesn’t come untucked. It is time to get out of the playroom and have some grown-up fun.

All you people who make fun of Mom Jeans, get a life, okay? Mom jeans are the coolest thing around. A woman who wears Mom jeans is a woman who has her priorities straight. Once upon a time she was a young woman who had no one to think about but herself. She could wear the latest fashions if she wanted. She could buy jeans in three sizes to compensate for monthly fluctuations and strut around in skin tight pants.

Then someone else entered her life, or a multitude of someone elses, and suddenly her belly stretched and her budget shrank. Now instead of buying three sizes, she buys clothes for a child who goes through three sizes in a year. She buys him bicycles and birthday parties and pizza. Meanwhile, as all moms know, her own size can fluctuate from morning until evening. So she wears her pants a little too tight or a little too loose.

Suddenly, skinny jeans are in style, but even skinny moms have learned that comfort is important to a woman who has to bend over the car and buckle kids in and out. Looser pants are much better for playing soccer with her little ones, or attending their games. They are better for sitting on the floor playing cars, and infinitely better for a soft comfortable seat as she reads a story to her children.

By the time the children are teens, they don’t want their own mother to be “hot.” That’s plain embarrassing. Moms of teens are supposed to be invisible. So they oblige. They wear comfortable clothes. They have their priorities in order. They are Moms!

In 1970, many girls were still required to wear dresses to school. When little girls played on the playground bars or swings, their underpants showed and no one thought much of it. When indoors they were taught to “sit like a lady”—knees together, skirt pulled down a bit—though it was difficult in the days of the miniskirt.

As schools eased up on their dress codes, many girls started wearing pants to school, but blue jeans were still considered unladylike. Female teachers wore suits or dresses. Some fathers did not care for their girls wearing denim, especially in farming areas. “Jeans are for working,” they said.

In 1973, a group of girls in a California school rebelled against their teacher’s favoritism of boys by dressing like the boys—in jeans, t-shirts, and ball caps—and no one sent them home. They didn’t even make the news.

By 1976, girls wore jeans to school and other places. The next big fad was bib overalls, which horrified the older generation. “They are men’s clothing!” they exclaimed in dismay. Along with the bib overalls girls wore “jumpsuits,” a one-piece garment that covered the body from neck to ankles. Those didn’t last long, as they were inconvenient to deal with on a daily basis.

By 1979, most girls wore pants or jeans to school all the time, and nobody blinked an eye. Many teachers began to dress more casually as well, though usually not in denims. Pants were skin tight to the knee—painted on, according to disapproving parents—and flared at the lower part of the leg, but not as full as the bell-bottoms of the 60’s. The older generation did not see how the young could stand them, especially in denim. But blue jeans prevailed, going from rebel to mainstream in the course of a decade.

The bodysuit is one of the greatest inventions in fashion, and it has returned to the scene!

There are two general types of bodysuits. One is underwear, basically foundational garments that cover the torso in some manner. They snap between the legs or consist of a highwaisted pair of pants that pulls up to cover the torso and top of the legs.

The other kind—the one to celebrate—is a piece of outer clothing. They are basically shirts that snap under the leg, like a baby’s onesie. They accomplish the same purpose—staying tucked in, allowing you to wear low-cut jeans without your shirt coming untucked and your underwear showing.

When bodysuits were popular in the 70’s, they were usually knit tops, often turtlenecks and long-sleeved. Today’s bodysuits come in many styles, from casual cotton shirts to lacy, dressy blouses. They are not generally considered active wear like a leotard; they are more stylish and terrific for the active lifestyle. Go to a school dance in a lacy bodysuit and pretty skirt, and you can enjoy yourself all evening without having to worry about tucking things in. Wear a casual one on a hike and you can climb the whole mountain and arrive at the top still looking put-together.

Another advantage bodysuits have over leotards is that they unsnap at the crotch. You do not have to pull the whole thing off to use the restroom, for example. But they stay snapped at the important times. They look much nicer under your jeans than a tucked in shirt with its rumples and bulges. Hurray for the bodysuit!

While it is generally recommended that you choose clothing that conforms to your body shape, it isn’t always true. This is especially the case when it comes to denim jeans. The majority of people actually wear jeans incorrectly, as they are either too big or too small.

This is typically the result of people not realizing how they look upon their body shape, but it is also the result of people trying to fit an image. To get the right jean size, you should ultimately try on various sizes and choose the pair that better compliments your figure or meets your desired appearance.

Thinner Figures

For those with a smaller figure, jeans should be on the tighter size. A person with a thin figure wearing over-sized jeans can look very awkward and unflattering. With a tight jean size, thin people can display their figure and project a taller appearance. Additionally, with a more body-conforming jean size, thinner people will actually have more mobility and comfort.

Wider Figures

People with wider figures are in a complete opposite camp. For wider people, it is recommended to wear somewhat of a larger jean size than the waistline. This provides a more straight appearance and avoids emphasizing those unwanted curves. A larger jean size also provides more room and is a better compliment to the upper body giving the outfit a more uniform appearance rather than having looser clothing on the top and tighter clothing on the bottom.

Image

For other jean buyers, how the jeans feel isn’t very relevant. Instead, they are more concerned by how they look on their body so that it gives them the style that they are looking for. For example, rappers prefer loose fitting clothes so wear only jeans that are baggy.

When it comes to denim, getting the right look means getting the right jean size.

When it comes to the world of denim there are no age restrictions or age limits. From denim jeans to denim jackets, all age groups can don the garment and look good doing it. This fact signifies the adaptable qualities of denim.

However, that doesn’t mean kids and their grandparents should be shopping together for the same outfit. In each age group there are suitable denim styles and shapes that work for them and not so much for others.

Kids

Children have the luxury of looking good in just about anything. They can sport any type of denim product, from jeans to jackets to shirts. And in all different colors, too. Of course, for children there are limits to the styles. For boys, jeans that are too baggy are likely to fall to the ground. Meanwhile, for girls, wearing low-riding jeans like their older sisters should be forbidden.

Teens

When kids reach their teenage years they can be expected to branch out in all different styles and colors of denim. Some may prefer tighter denim clothing, while others are more interested in a looser fitting look. Like their other experimentations, teenagers are sure to wear many unconventional colors from red to purple.

Adults

As an adult there has to be more consideration to what style and size of denim is worn. Denim should be more conforming to the figure. Bright colors should be limited and styles should be more fashionable. Finding the right jeans for an adult is as simple as shopping where there are no teenagers.

Elderly

Like kids, the elderly are more than welcome to wear any clothing in denim. However, it should all be in traditional colors and styles with an emphasis on respectability.

Denim is one of the few garments that can literally span generations of wearers without losing its cool.

When people think of denim they are sure to think of the classic blue shade of jeans. That is understandable since it is indeed the color of choice for anything made of denim. But that color denim is just one of many that have been made and dyed over the nearly 100 years of the garment.

Once denim became a fashion piece, designers have been trying to broaden its color horizons. In recent times, shades of denim have been made to not only offer variety but to match the many different images people are trying to convey.

Dark

In the shade of blue, denim is available in many different dark hues. They start with the typical dark blue that signifys most jeans. The specturm then reaches blue shades that almost look black. To add affect, a lot of dark blue denim has steaks of lighter blue to create a creased, worn look.

Light

Going as far as one step above white, light denim is generally comprised of baby blues. The most notable of light denim are stone washed jeans, some of which have very little shades of blue. But like dark denim, light denim runs a full spectrum reaching full, yet soft, blue shades.

Fades

The biggest separator of dark and light denim are the fades incorporated to present different looks. The most popular is the rugged look with lighter colors in middle of the pant leg surrounded by dark blues on the edges. Other denim jeans have greater parity between light and dark blue as both are spread across the fabric in a seamless fashion.

Colors

Although blue is the preferred, and generally the more natural, color of denim, it is still just one color available. With the right dye, denim can be made into any color one desires. Darker colors like black, purple and green are the more fashionably accepted. That’s because light colors like yellow or red can stick out like a very sore thumb.

When shopping for denim consumers can be assured that there are plenty of colorful choices.

What was originally created for back-breaking labor purposes, denim has become one of the hottest fashion materials. Denim has traditionally made its mark in the form of jeans, most notably by the Levi brand. Denim jeans are known for their utility as they can be worn with just about anything from just a plain t-shirt to a fancy sport coat, and for any occasion be it lounging around the house or a night out on the town.

But just like their ability to pair denim jeans with everything, designers have tried to make everything out of denim. From outwear to underwear, denim has branched out to all areas of fashion.

Denim Jacket

Rivaling even denim jeans, the denim jacket became popular in the 1970s and 1980s and hasn’t gone out of style since. Denim jackets provide both a rugged and fashionable look making them mainstays for all kinds of shoppers.

Denim Button Up Shirt

Once the style of auto mechanics, denim button up shirts are a staple of rock stars. It is generally the one collared shirt that screams cool. They are acceptable to wear open or even with a suit and tie.

Denim Overalls

Overalls can found made out of a variety of fabrics, such as corduroy, but they are a traditional denim garment. Denim overalls are a testament to the fabric’s working class roots as they are still worn in many workplaces because of their functionality.

Denim Skirt

Women have extended the use of denim in a variety of ways. One way is the denim skirt–a fashion piece for women in their everyday travels and nights out.

Denim Shorts

Denim shorts can be found for men, but they certainly don’t have the same effect that they do for women. Women have made denims shorts a clothing item with sex appeal, while men lost that ability in the 1990s when everything became baggy.

Finding out why denim is so popular is a futile task. Instead, seeing how deeply ingrained it is in the fashion world is a testament to its continued popularity.

Bodysuits are one fashion item that always seem to be in an echelon outside of the average person. While they look cool on models and celebrities, they just don’t seem to make a whole lot of sense in everyday appearance. Imagine throwing on a bodysuit and heading out for walk. Some strange looks would be expected.

Yet, the bodysuit still has many fahionistas curious like a forbidden fruit. The fact is that bodysuits can be a common piece in daily attire. With a few adjustments anyone can rock one like on a runway. Here are some tips to pulling it off.

Layering

There are very few circumstances in which you can wear a bodysuit on its own. In most cases it would be similar to walking around in a bathing suit. Instead, a bodysuit should be treated like a canvas, and other articles of clothing the paint. Using sensible color coordination and complimentary materials, the body suit can be a fashionable starting point.

And layering with a bodysuit can be done very easily. For example, in the summer simply throwing on a pair of shorts over one with a pair of sandals makes an outfit.

Keep it Classy

The bodysuit is a very tight-fitting garment. It should then be worn with a sense of modesty, even if you have that hour-glass figure. Accomplish this by exchanging shorts for a nice flowing skirt, or placing a top over it, be it a light jacket or even a a loose tank top.

Know Your Style

While bodysuits may be a hot fashion item, the reality is that they don’t work for everyone. Trying to force something as unique as a bodysuit into your wardrobe isn’t a great idea. Potential buyers should first take time in the dressing room trying to match it with other clothing generally found in their closet. If it doesn’t work out, then just let it go.

Bodysuits are one clothing item that is both comfortable and fashionable. They can be a great addition to any wardrobe, as long as you pull it off.

They just may be the cockroach of denim fashion. Stonewashed jeans. Made popular in the 1980s, the worn-out garment that is actually beaten with large stones in a washer, has stood the test of time. Just when they become the butt of jokes, they appear on the pages of the best fashion magazines.

The immortal life span of stonewashed jeans can be attributed to their unparalleled versatility. They have been worn by people of all age groups and demographics, from hard-working mechanics to the hardest-partying celebrities. Stonewashed jeans continue to make noise in many fashion trends.

The Rugged Look

From J. Crew to Forever 21, flannel shirts and thick cardigans are all the rage. Consider it a lumber jack with a deep contemplative side; a man who can leave the office and chop down a tree at a moment’s notice. The clothes are meant to look like they’ve lived a rugged life, and stonewashed jeans certainly look like they’ve been down a long rugged road.

Rock Star

Pick your rock music style: emo, punk or heavy metal? In either choice you will find musicians high-stepping or crowd surfing in a pair of stonewashed jeans. They have, however, evolved in the music scene. Rock stars prefer the dark black stonewashed jeans that seem to fade like their withering souls. But unlike the 1980s and 1990s, in the 21st century they are worn as tight as possible.

Working Class

Karl Marx and Frederick Engels liked to espouse working class people and working class ideals. If they lived in modern times they would also champion stonewashed jeans, a staple of working class fashion. The working class favor utility over appearance and economy over opulence. Which is why stonewashed jeans are a favorite. Think of the numerous combinations: Black leather jacket with American flag patch? Check. Camouflage sweater? Check. Sleeveless shirt? Check. Trucker hat? Check.

While they may go away for a couple years, stonewashed jeans won’t go away forever. WIth their superior ability to evolve with fashion, it’s safe to say stonewashed jeans will continue to live on.

Various records of excavations and other historical records state that in Ancient Egypt, people used to cover their body using animal skin, fibers of vegetables and grass. Usually, they used to fasten their back and both shoulders with animal skin, which appeared to be a simple and traditional dress of Egyptians.

After some time, when people started making clothes, they started covering themselves with the help of cloth pieces instead of animal skin and grass. At this point, the concept of stitching was not introduced. People used to wear unstitched clothes usually which were usually in the shape of rectangle, square or triangle.

Various types of clothes were worn at this time and poncho was one of the most popular cloths at that time. It was a loose upper garment which looked like a blanket and had a hole in the centre to uncover the head area. After some time, people of Egypt started wearing tunics and these were stitched according to the size of the person wearing that tunic.

These tunics looked like long T-shirts, men used to wear knee-length tunic and women wore tunics which reached till their ankles. These tunics were made of a white fabric which was woven from fibers of the flax plant and this fabric was known as linen. Working people of Egypt preferred wearing short skirts instead of tunics.

Historical records show that people of Ancient Egypt rarely covered their head and feet in ancient Egypt. Though at times, some people wore sandals made from leather or straw and later even conical hats were introduced in Egypt. Jewelry made of gold was also popular among men as well as women who could afford to wear it. Later they started dealing with dye and textile as well.

Many of us are not sure about why the celebrities use the fashion designers so much. They are too worried about what they wear. We people never really care about what we wear. However for a celebrity it is the most important factor. Almost everything relies on what they wear. Dress designing is their primary importance and that is the reason why most of the celebrities have their own dress designers.

These designers know what exactly a celebrity should wear in order to make them look good. The designers can design the clothes of different styles and fashion based upon the needs of the celebrity. For every occasion the dress designers will come up with a unique and different outfit that is going to impress the person wearing it.

The celebrities unlike ourselves don’t really wear the same clothes again and again as it will affect their reputation. They need a unique outfit every time they go out. That is the main reason why these celebrities spend lots of money on their clothing. The dress designers are aware of the latest trends in clothing and fashion and come up with an unique outfit that will suit the image and personality of the person.

Shows like Celebrity Rehab show what it’s like to struggle with alcohol and substance abuse, but how realistic are they? Well, overall they really do aim to show the reality of drug and alcohol addiction within the entertainment industry. It used to be that people who had no knowledge of the industry thought those celebrities lived charmed lives, but many of them actually struggled behind the scenes. There were so many demands put on their time that they turned to drugs and alcohol to dull their pain and keep them ‘up’ for all the performing that they had to do. That was unfortunate, but it was what happened most of the time. It’s still happening in the lives of a lot of celebrities.

What doesn’t get talked about as much as how it’s still happening in the lives of a lot of ‘normal’ people, too. There are plenty of people out there who have drug and alcohol addiction problems. No one comes to them and says that they’re going to put them on a TV show that will help them. Instead, they just struggle, sometimes alone, because they don’t know how to get the help that they need. Many of them think that they’re beyond help, and there’s nothing that can be done to improve their lives or get them clean. That’s simply not true. No one is a lost cause, and it’s never too late to try.

If you’re struggling with an addiction to drugs or alcohol, you must get help. Visit rehab-international.org to find rehab centers in your area. Even if you live in a rural part of the country, there are still facilities near you where you can go and get clean. That’s the first step to rebuilding your life. The sooner you take it, the sooner you’ll be back to spending time with your family, working, and being a productive member of society – without the pull of alcohol and drugs.

The clothing & style of the 19th century was very different from that of the 21st century that we are used to now. You’ll be very surprised to see the changes that have taken place over a period of time in order to understand the rich culture of that century.

The Victorian style of clothing dictated the costumes which were in vogue in the 19th century. The dresses generally resembled the ones which featured and became popular in popular Jane Austen novels. Fashion and clothing during that era was an indication of the social status of the person with women wearing long layered dresses and men opting formal suits. Officer’s uniforms, Abraham Lincoln costumes and Scarlet O’Hara ensembles also became extremely popular.

Victorian dresses were most common during the era. The dresses worn by women were complex yet elegant. They were multi-layered dresses made of silky materials and embellished with laces, ruffles, ribbons and embroideries. A typical Victorian dress is generally floor length having a tight bodice and a flowing full skirt. To accentuate the look created by such a dress, a special undergarment was a must. To get the perfect hourglass look, a tight, restrictive corset was essential. For the Victorian gentlemen a formal suit featuring several pieces was the trend. Young people used to experiment with the color of the suits.

During this century the Southern Belle costumes also became famous. The costumes were imitated by the dresses worn by Scarlet O’Hara in “Gone With the Wind”. The costumes were generally made of white, yellow, pink or red satin or laces and hugged around the bodice. They also featured full skirts and off-shoulder necklines with frilly rufles all around.
The costumes were decorated with embroideries on the sleeves and featured shiny brass buttons. They were the perfect costumes to be paired with Southern Belle costumes.

In the history, people of china used to wear tunics which looked like long T-shirts. Men used to dress themselves with knee-length tunic and women wore tunics which reached till their ankles. During winters, they draped themselves with jackets as well which they used to wear over their T-shirt like garment and they wore pants to keep their legs warm in winters.

Poor people used to prepare their clothes with ramie which was flax- like herb with dark green leaves and was used to make fiber out of its woody stem. At times, hemp, another plant fiber was also used to make clothes. As far as rich people are concerned, they used to wear clothes made of silk.

During the 500 AD, the then king of china instructed the poor population to wear clothes of either blue or black colors and rich people were free to wear any color they liked. Later In the imperial Yuan dynasty of china, a lot of mulberry trees, which were used to prepare silk, were destroyed by Mongols when they invaded china. Then the then Mongol emperor introduced cotton in china and later organized various training sessions for farmers to make them aware of the techniques for growing cotton. To encourage this, he went to the extent of lowering taxes of farmers who produced cotton in their farm.

After an uncomfortable period of change, people started liking cotton better than the previous fibers since cotton was soft as well as cheap. It was convenient as well since it could be turned into thin as well as thick clothes to suit the needs of summer and winter season respectively.

During the late 20th century, many modern styles along with many bright colors were adopted by the population of china to increase the range of clothes and this brought enormous change in the clothing styles of china!

Fashion has gone through a wide range of changes in the trends during the various decades of the 20th century. The trend which was in vogue in the first decade of the century became obsolete in the next decade. The fashion trends were also influenced by the developments and happenings in the society during that particular time.

The feminine and light-hearted approach towards fashion was seen in the 1920s which continued even during the 30s. However with the Great Depression hitting hard, women started reworking on their old clothes and creating new outfits out of them. They also started using a conservative approach towards dresses and started wearing long skirts with normal waistlines. The fashionable look of the 1920s was somewhat reduced to give way for a more womanly look. The trend of short hair was also popular during this decade and they continued using the Cloche hats. Perm hairstyle also came into existence during this decade. Of the accessories, gloves enjoyed a premier position with majority of women wearing them. Elbow length gloves and opera length gloves were the most common of the gloves, worn accordance to the time of the day. They were made either of leather or fabric.

Men’s fashion also changed under the impact of the Great Depression. The vibrant colors which were used in the previous decades sobered down giving way to lighter and subdued colors. The drape cut suit became enormously popular during the 1930s which was even used by popular actors of the time like Cary Grant and Fred Astaire. Men’s accessories included a hat called fedora and neckties consisting of bold geometric patterns. Both men’s and women’s fashion of the 1930s depended a lot on the condition of the society during that time. However, there were certain fashion items which acted as status symbols and were extensively used by the rich and the famous.

The 1960s saw the fashion scenario being influenced by the rock-n-roll and hippie culture. More and more people, especially youngsters did not tread the common path and started wearing clothes which acted as symbols of protest. Bell bottoms, mini skirts and the hippie look became extremely popular during the decade. The 1970s was in a way a continuation of the 1960s culture. The decade was dedicated to popular culture and the dresses which were popular in the earlier decade were carried forward in a way which created an indelible impact on the society.

Platform shoes having 2 to 4 inches thick soles came into the scene in the initial years of the decade. Both men and women were comfortable wearing those shoes. Jeans also took the shape of the bell-bottom trousers during this time. The denims became wide legged and flared and looked quite similar to the bell-bottoms. The denims and the bell-bottom trousers became part of the mainstream for the entire decade and were loved by both men and women. Skirt lengths for women varied in three different sizes and were named as midis, minis and maxis.

Women during this decade were also crazy about the tight fitting short pants which were also called hot pants at that time. Crop tops and wrinkled looks were also popular for some portion of the decade. Men’s dresses and accessories became more colorful and vibrant. By the end of the decade the popularity of disco affected the dressing style of the people to a great extent. The stylish three piece suits became a style statement for men and everyone was going crazy after them. Zippered jumpsuits, tube tops, slit skirts and spaghetti strapped tank tops all came into fashion during the 1970s. This decade is still considered one of the most unassuming yet fashionable decades of all times.

It is a well known fact that women spend a lot of time struggling and finding the cloths with the best possible fittings. However, you will still find them complaining about unavailability of the cloths that properly fit them. A part of their complaints might arguably be because of their insatiable natures. However, the complete truth is, it’s indeed difficult to find the perfect fitting readymade cloths especially for those who are blessed with feminine curves.

Fortunately, this problem has now been gradually disappearing because of certain apparel companies that are beginning to understand this particular aspect related to the women bodies. Understanding the varying shapes and sizes of women bodies, they have started respecting their feminine needs and individuality. Companies such as apple bottoms are now designing the apparels keeping the best possible fitting of cloths as one of the prime objectives. As an obvious outcome, they are rapidly growing their customer base and becoming popular among their female customers.

Especially among the women with plus sizes or curvaceous bodies, the curve fitting cloths produced by these companies are increasingly gaining popularity in the market. Thanks to the companies that work closely towards the exact requirements of their female customers, you do not even need to keep on trying several costumes and instead, be assured about the perfect fitting of each chosen costume for yourself. You can comfortably forget about the dresses that sway due to their loose fittings as well as about the obscene looking tight fitting dresses.

Choosing the apparel designed with a careful consideration of feminine curves, you will find yourself not complaining about not finding the costumes, which don’t suit your figure. In simpler words, you can simply visit a store and ask for the apparels manufactured by the companies like Apple Bottoms and get rid of your usual worries related to the ill-fitting dresses.

The under garments has a unique history in the beginning no body wore the under garments. The word was known to protect the upper dress the under garments came into existence.

With revolutionary thinking in mind, with women, more to bare the more the fun.. Under clothing have gone in for a revolutionary changes. With Shorts and other under clothing like drawers and Baniyans. Bikini came into existence. Bikini is simple dress which makes a man head spin. The question comes, what designers could thing with two pieces of clothing on a woman. This question is very hard to answer.

The woman in Bikini. The word is sufficient to make any thing to sell from calendar to magazine. The making of bikini calendar is an art which last for months for taking a 12 photo graphs and making a calendar. Bikini clad girls are seen every where especially in liquor marketing and the car selling.

The name Bikini has an interesting history, Bikini Atoll in the Pacific where the nuclear bomb was tested in 1946, thinking that the name bikini could make the same kind of noise and excitement amount the public thus the name was given to the two pieces dress. See a woman in naked your head does not go into a spin, but the same woman wears a bikini it is a nuclear bomb goes into your head.

Brazil is one destination for the bikini clad woman. So much of money goes into it. A good bikini costs much more that a three suit for a man.

How dressing came to man kind is question no body can answer. There are some tribes in Africa who even till to date do not have clothing they cover their genitals with leaves or hides. The Mummies of Egypt which said to be warped in thin cotton cloth which till to date is intact. Then the question comes from where did the making of cloth come? The next question that comes to our mind is how was dress-designing came in to existence.

Designing is a very simple concept, of making the cloth fit to your body according to the style. Hand sewing did, rule in making of the dress for centuries, it was bread winner for many, a especially for woman. Then came the revolution of Sewing machine which was first marked for mass production was Issaac Singer. Then the competition of dress making came into existence. A dress which did take moths together to make by hands was done in hours.

Man by nature is a inventor. The dire need of man first is the hungry the next is the dress. As dress is the second prominent in life it did have major share of inventions and discoveries. With the industrial revolutions going in England and Europe cloth became a cheap commodity and naturally it gave way to many designers. Even to date the Paris is considered to be the Designers destinations in the world. The tailor made clothing is the thing of the past, now; the ready made garments are the fashion of today. Cloth making and Dress designing is a mega industry which the economy of a country depends on. Now it is billon dollar industry to gape at it.

So now we can easily understand why dressing came in to existence and its importance.

Almost every mom has a pair, and maybe even two or three. She always likes to wear them to feel comfortable and pairs them with her favorite shirt or blouse. What is it?

Her favorite mom jeans.

Why are they called mom jeans? Mainly because they’re more styled and fitted to the woman’s body who has had children and her shape has somewhat changed. They’re usually looser fitting, have more room in some areas of the pants and the material has more spandex in it as well.

Jeans are a clothing item that will always be in style, and moms want to be in style too, of course. When designers created a looser-fitting jean, they didn’t call it the mom jeans. Instead, that catchy name was given to any pair of jeans that has an elastic waist and fit looser and more comfortable than other stylish, more fitted kind.

Although a woman’s body changes significantly after the birth of children, it can be a challenge to get her body back to where it was before the baby was born. Sometimes she’s successful right away, and other times it may take a little longer to see favorable results.

As far as fashion goes with moms, styling and fashioning their wardrobe in a current manner can be done pretty easily. By using stylish and colorful tops, lots of bright jewelry and adding other accessories like belts and scarves, the mom can transform her look into a stylish one almost immediately.

It’s best to circulate anywhere from two to three pair of those comfortable jeans in different colors to keep from wearing out one pair at a time. Colors in white denim, black jeans and the traditional blue denim are common, but there are also other funky colors you can get like stone-washed, stone-studded and holes in them. These jeans are fun and also functional.

If you look around in stores in your local shopping mall, or on the virtual stores online, you’ll see lots of it on display. It’s made in pants (of course), jackets, belts and even jewelry. Denim is the material that is popularly found, and its versatility is unmatched like no other article of clothing around.

The Flexibility of Denim

Denim clothes are so popular because they’re so convenient. Denim is also flexible and versatile in matching and pairing it up with other styles. You can take denim and pair it up with almost any color top (blouse or shirt), and create an instant look that is both fashionable and functional for the average person.

Denim manufacturers have also taken the material and colored it in so many different hues, making it even more preferable for people who are interested in both style and fashion.

Aside from denim pants (commonly known as blue jeans), the material can also be found in belts and jewelry. Denim belts are very popular for women who like to wear them on the outside of their tops in a bulky, bunchy looking way.

Another great fashion pair-up for denim that women like is wearing high heels. This little fashion tip can transform a denim pants look with a basic top into something that’s fashionable enough to wear to dinner or a night out on the town. Women who work in office settings often like to do quick changes after work if they’re going out to be social with co-workers. A quick shoe change into their favorite pair of heels, and they can take the casual, office denim look and create a fashionable, funky style that’s great for a night out with friends.

Yes, the versatility of denim is limitless, only limited by imagination. Using your creativity, you can create several looks that are all you!

What does the fashion savvy mom have that no other mom has? She’s got the eye for good fashion and style, and knows what to do to make herself look fashionably together. She’s able to take the basic fashion styles and create stunning, impressive looks.

Often, the reason why some moms may feel that they’re not as fashionably together as they would like to be is because of their level of responsibilities and the limited time that they have to get themselves ready for any event. If mom has to get kids dressed, help her husband and then herself, she usually just does something quickly so as to get everyone where they need to be in time.

But, the fashion savvy mom doesn’t have to short change herself when it comes to getting styled, nor does she have to settle for the basic, humdrum look. There are several options:

- Always have about two to three nice pants ready to wear. Dry clean or iron them ahead of time and keep them ready in your closet. Do the same with blouses and jackets.

- Sort your jewelry in order so that things are easier to find. When you’re in a rush, fashion sometimes goes out of the window. Stay prepared by staying organized.

- Shop ahead of time, before you need something. If you see the perfect jacket or the perfect shoes on sale, get them.

- Create about two to three outfits for standby. Assemble a "look" or two and keep them ready in your closet. Complete the look with jewelry and shoes so that all you have to do is go into your closet and pull down what you want to wear. Even if you want to change the accessories, you can, but the completed is there and saves you time and frustration.

Jewelry has been around as long as man has walked the planet. Recently discovered in South Africa are necklaces made of molluscs and shells thought to be over 75 000 years old, the oldest jewelry artifacts found to date. Jewelery, thankfully, has evolved since the days of bone, tooth and shell necklaces of our forefathers.

Although costume fashion jewelry comes and goes, classic pieces always stand the test of time. Tacori, a family owned business in California has its origins in Europe and has created vintage jewelry blended perfectly with contemporary American style art and design. Specializing in bridal sets, they have spanned four decades in crafting unique and treasured rings, bracelets and necklaces.

Chopard has manufactured fine watches and jewelry for the past 150 years. Humble beginnings in 1860 have lead to an enduring lifetime legacy today. The new animal theme was brought out to celebrate the anniversary as well as to start an awareness of wild life issues. Proceeds of the animals themes will go to the World Wild Life Fund to help fund WWF initiatives.

Although Roberto Coin has only been around since 1977, he has made his mark in the land of top designers and his signature ruby creations are thought to bring prosperity and good fortune. This is in accordance with an ancient Egyptian legend which dictates that the wearer of a ruby shall receive health, wealth and happiness all throughout their lives.

One thing all these top designers have on common, is fine artistic craftsmanship combined with excellence and precision. This combination creates the classic time honored treasures that endure the test of time.

The basics of a well-rounded, pulled together and stunning fashionably styled look is not in the pants, blouse, dress or even the accessories. What makes a style look pulled together and makes the woman a stunning figure is what she has on underneath: her undergarments.

Undergarments are known by various names including girdles, brassieres, foundations, body shapers, body suits, etc. These items help our clothes look and feel better and contribute to the overall fashion look, making it look quite nice. Some women choose to wear undergarments on a daily basis, as a staple to their clothes closet, while other women choose to wear certain undergarments for special occasions to help lift and enhance other body features.

Taking the time to invest in some really good, quality made undergarments is essential. Like the old retail saying goes, "you get what you pay for", and it is one that holds true in any situation. If you wear poorly made, uncomfortable and bulky undergarments under your quality fashions, you have just murdered your look, and not in a good way.

Undergarments often have snaps or seams, while some are seamless, depending on the manufacturer. The trick in quality made undergarments is to make the wearer appear to not have on anything supportive at all. There shouldn’t be any seams or snaps showing or sticking out through the clothes. No matter what size a female is and what her body shape is like, there are undergarments that are designed to enhance, control, flatter and do most anything that the wearer wants in order to achieve that sleek look.

To find quality undergarments without sacrificing comfort or style, go to a store that specializes in fitting and styling women in quality undergarments. They will assess your body type and help you determine what would work best for you, and help you find the right kinds.

Don’t you just love the look of fashion that allows you to be both comfortable and fashionable? People often mistake high style or being fashionable with things that have to be uncomfortable or unsuitable for their body types. So while they may look incredibly fashionable, they may feel uncomfortable and not look as stylish as they think they do.

Fashion can be comfortable. There is no need or cause for it to feel or be constricting or stifling. There are many high-fashion designers who build comfort into their stylish frocks because they want people to buy their line, of course, but they also want people to feel comfortable and normal while they’re wearing their clothes.

Designers who design comfortable clothing don’t limit their expertise to only high fashions that appear on stages or runways. Everyday people can enjoy those same fashions too, and still come off looking great!

- Look for the labels of your favorite designers, and check the tags for keywords like "stretch", or "natural waistband." These words or similar verbiage will tell you that the item is designed with comfort in mind.

- Ask the retail associate if you’re in the store, or the chat associate if you’re online for help in finding the category of the designer clothes that are geared towards the comfort fit. They will be able to direct you in the right place.

Comfortable clothes may make you have a tendency to feel a little slouchy or lazy when it comes to taking care of them and keeping your style pulled together. Because they’re so easy to wear, this can be something that you find yourself doing often. The key to keeping your fashionably comfortable clothes looking good and up to date also is to keep them clean and pressed (if necessary), ready to wear and accessorize them each time you go out.

What do you do when you are the reigning queen of pop music, you’re married to the king of hip-hop, and you are gaining respect in the movie world everyday? If you are Beyonce Knowles then you start up the highly fashionable Dereon clothing line. It hasn’t just become a niche clothing market, but rather one of the hottest labels in the world. It’s not just Beyonce’s star status that is fueling the popularity of Dereon, it’s the clothes themselves.

The line was started by Beyonce and her sister Solange, in 2006. The goal of the company was to bring highly stylized fashion for the younger consumer at a reasonable price. The clothing is a chance to combine Beyonces mother’s style from the 70′s to the grandmother’s style from the 40′s. Beyonce and her sister have both been models for the company and have featured the clothing on shows like The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Tyra Banks Show. It’s certain that the clothing line has been enhanced by the public image of the hottest woman in music, but the clothes are what makes this clothing label.

The label features the styles that are popular today. Its assortment of clothes makes it one of the more diverse labels on the market. They sell everything from handbags and intimates to eye wear and jewelry. Their jewelry is less about bling and more about style. Their line can be worn at the hottest parties and the most elegant formal affairs. The same can be said about their hot line of footwear. Their shoes have not only a hot style, but a tremendous amount of crossover appeal. What makes Dereon so desirable is their price. The line is hip, but is not expensive, and it’s proving that the queen of pop is as fashionable as she is sensible.

If you take a look in any history book from any era, and you just might find clothes that people are wearing today. Or, you may even find styles and trends that are making a historical comeback and finding their way back into fashion circles.

History has a way of repeating itself on many different levels, and fashion is no exception. Many fashion statements have been made with retro looks, some of them dating back twenty years or more. Styles that make a comeback or an impact over time are usually ones that dip back into history and borrow something, making it current, fashionable and in high demand.

Remember the men’s bow tie from the 50s? Well, they are back on the style scene today and making its own statement. You can find them in all different colors and patterns, adding a fresh twist to a relic of that day.

The swing skirt from the 40s is another hot, fashionable item that has made its comeback onto the fashion scene. Women wear these skirts with boots and sometimes heels.

The capri pants are another fashion statement that has been back on the style scene for quite some time. Capri pants, or once known also as "gauchos" are now very popular among women for both professional and sporty environments. They can be worn with boots, sandals, tennis shoes and even heels in the corporate world. These pants are very versatile and designers are making them very fashionable.

The current fashion trends of today will likely do the same thing that history has done for fashion in the past. The things that are hot right now may die out and make their big comeback in ten or twenty years. It will be exciting to see how today’s styles become history and make their debut again with our grandchildren!

What are some of the staples of clothing in your closet that you use constantly?

- Do you always wear socks with your boots to keep your toes warm?

- Do you always wear a belt with your jeans, whether you need one or not?

- Do you have three to four headbands that you interchange and wear with all your outfits?

Some people have clothing staples they use and wear with everything, no matter what the occasion or event is. It’s a part of their wardrobe and something they use to get dressed everyday, and is as common to them as brushing their teeth or combing their hair.

For many women, having foundational support underneath their clothing is important to them. They want to create a smooth, defined look under their clothes. They may also use different things to achieve that look, but one commonly used item is a body suit.

A body suit is much like a girdle for women, but it usually more smoother and sleeker than girdles. A body suit is often a one-piece item that covers from the top of the body at the shoulders to right underneath the crotch, or as far down past the upper thigh.

Most women wear body suits underneath all of their clothing, including casual clothes like jeans or sweat pants. Since the goal of the body suit is to smooth everything out, the best type of suit to get would be the ones that have light, breathable material and is available in flesh tone.

Even though the body suit will be a daily staple, you can still have fun with it and be creative as well. Get several of them in various colors to wear underneath blouses with low necklines or open blouses. The body suit works very well for the layered look and is all functional at the same time.

We have all heard of the phrase that states history repeats itself. Well, we could go one further and say that fashion history also repeats itself. Fashion designers, like many other creative professions, often look to those styles and designers that came before them when they are looking for inspiration. And if you take a stroll down almost any street that has stores selling fashion, you are bound to come upon a vintage fashion store. There are clothes that come back into favor. There are shoes that return to the shelves. There is jewelry that comes back into style. There was a time when bell bottom jeans were laughed at once their time had passed. Then almost overnight and many years later, there they were again on the shelves.

There was a time when younger kids went out at night to dance clubs. They wore casual clothes and drank beer and simple mixed drinks. Then the next thing you know, martinis were back in style. And nights on the town were formal from the Mikimoto pearls to the long, black dresses. How this happens is often a mystery. Perhaps it comes from boredom and the need to do something different. Perhaps it is something that is set in motion by those in the fashion industry. Either way, it is something that happens over and over. What trends will we see next?

A good place to find the answer to that question is to once again look at the vintage stores. You can find styles that span the decades as far back as the 1920’s. You can find formal clothes. You can find casual clothes. These stores have almost every accessory you could imaging from various historical fashion trends as well. From belts to necklaces, you can mix and match trends and create your own style. And that is the real key. Set your own style and dress as you wish no matter what decade you choose for your fashion trend.

If you were to take a look at all of the jeans in your closet right now, what would you find? Like many average individual’s, you probably have several pairs of jeans of all styles, colors, patterns and maybe even different sizes. In that closet group, you’ll also have those favorite pair of jeans that fit you just right (when they did fit), or that you can’t get rid of. Maybe you’ve even vowed to yourself to not throw any of those jeans away, but you’ve promised yourself that you’re going to be able to wear them again one day.

A person’s jeans tend to be an item that they find incredibly hard to part with. Looking back in your jean history, perhaps you’ll find:

- The first designer pair you bought as an adult. Your own money, sweat and tears. You can’t get rid of them…and you hope you’ll be able to wear them again, one day.

- The pair of jeans you wore while you were pregnant. They fit so comfortably and had a lot of give room. Although they’re made for pregnant women, you still like to wear them to lounge around the house on your "lazy days."

- The jeans that fit "just right" and that you cannot even THINK about getting rid of. When you got these jeans, they were on sale and the very last pair. They’re a little worn, but you don’t care because they fit you like a glove.

- The "going out" jeans that you wear for a night out on the town. These are the high-fashion ones with designs or embroidered patches that take about five to ten years off of your look.

Your jeans history says a lot about where you’ve been in your life. They’re all very special to you and definitely not ones that you should get rid of from your closet.

What are Undergarments?

Undergarments are clothing items that are worn next to the skin and are usually items to cover and protect your body underneath the clothing. Undergarments are things like bras, panties, boxers, briefs, girdles, body suits and body shapers. All of these things come in various styles, colors and shapes to accommodate any and all physical needs.

Unisex Undergarments

Women aren’t the only ones who wear girdles. Men do too. Manufacturers know this and so do fashion designers. They often design undergarments to appeal to both sexes and market these things as unisex undergarments. This means that both men and/or women can wear the item. This sometimes makes it easier to shop for people who are challenged with their weight, or they may prefer the basic style and comfort of the unisex garment.

To Protect

The main purpose of undergarments is of course to protect your body underneath your clothes. Some clothing contain ink or material colors that can irritate the skin, especially in sensitive areas. Undergarments keeps the skin from rubbing in these areas and causing discomfort.

Undergarments are also used to enhance and improve the appearance of a person’s body. Support undergarments lift, strengthen and support the person’s body in certain areas. Some garments worn underneath clothing may be touted by the designer as having the ability to transform your look by making it sleeker and smoother.

To Make Fashionable

Surprisingly, undergarments can also be used as a fashion style with certain clothes. Body suits are items that can be worn with open blouses to create that layered look. They come in so many different colors, and you can customize them to fit your style and current closet inventory.

You don’t have to restrict your choices in undergarments to boring and mundane selections. Use what’s functional for you, and make sure above all that you are comfortable.

Jeans come in many different styles, fabrics, colors and even weights. The basic denim jean is not at all boring or humdrum, but is full of personality and fun. There are jeans to wear for all sorts of occasions, and some style of jeans are even starting to be permitted to wear in office settings. The jeans are a versatile, comfortable and definitely fashionable item that everyone needs in their closet.

But, with so many styles and trends around jeans, what type of undergarment should you wear underneath them?

What undergarments to wear with certain clothes, especially jeans, is something that people want to know but are often sometimes too embarrassed to ask. Jeans are normally made out of denim of course, and are a thick material. However, some types of jeans also have thinner areas on them, like where the patches or embroidered areas are, and may be see-through in some cases. When you have on these type of jeans or other subtly revealing kind, what you wear underneath is very important.

- The Thong

Most women opt to wear thongs under their jeans. It’s comfortable and the pantie line is non-detectable. This allows the woman to wear something underneath her jeans at all times.

- Girdles

Wearing a girdle or slimmer is also another option that women choose to wear with their jeans. With these, you usually don’t wear any additional garments, so the look is sleek and you still feel comfortable.

- Automatic

Then there are the undergarments that are sewn into the jeans and allow total freedom of movement for the woman. These are good for almost every busy woman’s lifestyle and clothes preference.

With whatever you choose to wear under your jeans, make sure that it’s both comfortable, but functional so as to give you flexibility all day while you’re wearing your clothes.
