The fashion trends were also influenced by the developments and happenings in the society during that particular time.

The feminine and light-hearted approach towards fashion was seen in the 1920s which continued even during the 30s. However with the Great Depression hitting hard, women started reworking on their old clothes and creating new outfits out of them. Perm hairstyle also came into existence during this decade. Of the accessories, gloves enjoyed a premier position with majority of women wearing them. Elbow length gloves and opera length gloves were the most common of the gloves, worn accordance to the time of the day. They were made either of leather or fabric.

The drape cut suit became enormously popular during the 1930s which was even used by popular actors of the time like Cary Grant and Fred Astaire. Men’s accessories included a hat called fedora and neckties consisting of bold geometric patterns. Both men’s and women’s fashion of the 1930s depended a lot on the condition of the society during that time. However, there were certain fashion items which acted as status symbols and were extensively used by the rich and the famous.

The denims and the bell-bottom trousers became part of the mainstream for the entire decade and were loved by both men and women. Skirt lengths for women varied in three different sizes and were named as midis, minis and maxis.

Women during this decade were also crazy about the tight fitting short pants which were also called hot pants at that time. Crop tops and wrinkled looks were also popular for some portion of the decade. Men’s dresses and accessories became more colorful and vibrant. By the end of the decade the popularity of disco affected the dressing style of the people to a great extent. Those Favorite Mom Jeans

Almost every mom has a pair, and maybe even two or three. She always likes to wear them to feel comfortable and pairs them with her favorite shirt or blouse. What is it?

Her favorite mom jeans.

Why are they called mom jeans? Mainly because they’re more styled and fitted to the woman’s body who has had children and her shape has somewhat changed. They’re usually looser fitting, have more room in some areas of the pants and the material has more spandex in it as well.

Jeans are a clothing item that will always be in style, and moms want to be in style too, of course. When designers created a looser-fitting jean, they didn’t call it the mom jeans. Instead, that catchy name was given to any pair of jeans that has an elastic waist and fit looser and more comfortable than other stylish, more fitted kind.

Although a woman’s body changes significantly after the birth of children, it can be a challenge to get her body back to where it was before the baby was born. Sometimes she’s successful right away, and other times it may take a little longer to see favorable results.

As far as fashion goes with moms, styling and fashioning their wardrobe in a current manner can be done pretty easily. By using stylish and colorful tops, lots of bright jewelry and adding other accessories like belts and scarves, the mom can transform her look into a stylish one almost immediately.

It’s best to circulate anywhere from two to three pair of those comfortable jeans in different colors to keep from wearing out one pair at a time. Colors in white denim, black jeans and the traditional blue denim are common, but there are also other funky colors you can get like stone-washed, stone-studded and holes in them. These jeans are fun and also functional.

What does the fashion savvy mom have that no other mom has? She’s got the eye for good fashion and style, and knows what to do to make herself look fashionably together. She’s able to take the basic fashion styles and create stunning, impressive looks.

Often, the reason why some moms may feel that they’re not as fashionably together as they would like to be is because of their level of responsibilities and the limited time that they have to get themselves ready for any event. If mom has to get kids dressed, help her husband and then herself, she usually just does something quickly so as to get everyone where they need to be in time.

But, the fashion savvy mom doesn’t have to short change herself when it comes to getting styled, nor does she have to settle for the basic, humdrum look. There are several options:

- Always have about two to three nice pants ready to wear. Dry clean or iron them ahead of time and keep them ready in your closet. Do the same with blouses and jackets.

- Sort your jewelry in order so that things are easier to find. When you’re in a rush, fashion sometimes goes out of the window. Stay prepared by staying organized.

- Shop ahead of time, before you need something. If you see the perfect jacket or the perfect shoes on sale, get them.

- Create about two to three outfits for standby. Assemble a "look" or two and keep them ready in your closet. Complete the look with jewelry and shoes so that all you have to do is go into your closet and pull down what you want to wear. Even if you want to change the accessories, you can, but the completed is there and saves you time and frustration.

Jewelry has been around as long as man has walked the planet. Recently discovered in South Africa are necklaces made of molluscs and shells thought to be over 75 000 years old, the oldest jewelry artifacts found to date. Jewelery, thankfully,  has evolved since the days of bone, tooth and shell necklaces of our forefathers.

Although costume fashion jewelry comes and goes, classic pieces always stand the test of time.  Tacori, a family owned business in California has its origins in Europe and has created vintage jewelry  blended perfectly with contemporary American style art and design. Specializing in bridal sets, they have spanned four decades in crafting unique and treasured rings, bracelets and necklaces.

Chopard has manufactured fine watches and jewelry for the past 150 years. Humble beginnings in 1860 have lead to an enduring lifetime legacy today.  The new animal theme was brought out to celebrate the anniversary as well as to start an awareness of wild life issues. Proceeds of the animals themes will go to the World Wild Life Fund to help fund WWF initiatives.

Although Roberto Coin has only been around since 1977, he has made his mark in the land of top designers and his signature ruby creations are thought to bring prosperity and good fortune.   This is in accordance with an ancient Egyptian legend which dictates that the wearer of a ruby shall  receive  health, wealth and happiness all throughout their lives.

One thing all these top designers have on common, is fine artistic craftsmanship combined with excellence and precision.  This combination creates the classic time honored treasures that endure the test of time.

Designers Who Design Comfortable Clothes

Don’t you just love the look of fashion that allows you to be both comfortable and fashionable? People often mistake high style or being fashionable with things that have to be uncomfortable or unsuitable for their body types. So while they may look incredibly fashionable, they may feel uncomfortable and not look as stylish as they think they do.

Fashion can be comfortable. There is no need or cause for it to feel or be constricting or stifling. There are many high-fashion designers who build comfort into their stylish frocks because they want people to buy their line, of course, but they also want people to feel comfortable and normal while they’re wearing their clothes.

Designers who design comfortable clothing don’t limit their expertise to only high fashions that appear on stages or runways. Everyday people can enjoy those same fashions too, and still come off looking great!

- Look for the labels of your favorite designers, and check the tags for keywords like "stretch", or "natural waistband." These words or similar verbiage will tell you that the item is designed with comfort in mind.

- Ask the retail associate if you’re in the store, or the chat associate if you’re online for help in finding the category of the designer clothes that are geared towards the comfort fit. They will be able to direct you in the right place.

Comfortable clothes may make you have a tendency to feel a little slouchy or lazy when it comes to taking care of them and keeping your style pulled together. Because they’re so easy to wear, this can be something that you find yourself doing often. The key to keeping your fashionably comfortable clothes looking good and up to date also is to keep them clean and pressed (if necessary), ready to wear and accessorize them each time you go out.
